When I was a young girl everyone said I looked like her.. I always thought she was mixed, but didn't know for sure. For some reason today, after all these years I thought of her and decided to IMDB/wikipedia her. Every site states she was the first black woman on the cover of playboy, the first black Miss Ohio, USA, the first black woman sportscaster, blah, blah,blah.... I'm wondering if she is in fact mixed and they are just one dropping her?
Okay I just found a current picture of her. (very bottom photo obviously) and it looks like she might have let herself go a bit. I believe she is 58 now. Oh, only if we could turn back the hands of time!

She was beautiful! Still is. She has let herself go, but from what I understand, she has a severe case of endometriosis that prevents her from exercising, or doing much activity at all. No sure about the specifics of that, but she has cited that as the reason for her weight gain.
BTW- If you looked like Jayne Kennedy as a child, then you probably looked like my younger sister's twin, because she really resembled her too!

Nice cheeks. She is still smiling so hopefully she has found peace within herself despite her endometriosis.

Anyway..... I still think she look great, she is in fact almost 60. Not very one is going to look like a sex pot at 70 like Tina Turner does.

Her face and hair is still beautiful... Yeah she picked up a few lbs., but boy was she ever a beauty in her hey-day!

I also stated that she did APPEAR mixed to meeeee....... however, any information I can find on her merely states that she is African American and nowhere does it state that she is bi-racial. So my question once again, is she bi-racial or are they one dropping her? What part of that did you not understand?

Uh yea, she definitely looks mixed. Maybe one parent is black and the other is mixed or something. Who knows but she is obviously mixed. She is probably MGM.

Whether she is biracial is a different question from whether she is mixed.I am mixed, but not biracial.

Whether she is biracial is a different question from whether she is mixed.I am mixed, but not biracial.
Ahhh, I see.. Okay, perhaps I should differentiate between being mixed and bi-racial (black/white) In my universe mixed means bi-racial to me. I guess it does not mean the same to everyone. Okay, obviously she is mixed, I am just wanting to know if anyone knew if she was mulatto, 1/2 black 1/2 white?
